Are you non-stop committed to the next generations? Are you looking for new ways to shape a sustainably positive future? Be part of “CREATE THE MAGIC! – for a better tomorrow”. Creaviva, Zentrum Paul Klee and Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums will be your hosts and facilitators in Bern from 25 – 27 October 2023.
The 14th Hands On! Conference is, with its inspiring keynotes and interactive salons, your ideal platform to deepen and practice topics such as change, participation, society, finance and leadership. From 25–27 October 2023, you will experience many magical moments and educational processes at various locations in Creaviva, Zentrum Paul Klee and the UNESCO capital Berne.
Together with 160 other curators and future designers, you will learn how to make your scientifically or culturally oriented institution more fit for the future and how to shape your offers more participatory. The variety of socially relevant topics helps you to question yourself, your actions and your institution and to improve your effectiveness.
In the crisis, it depends on you and the next generations, you know that. This value-based conference "CREATE THE MAGIC! – for a better tomorrow" gives you the chance to take a suitcase full of powerful inspiration and fresh energies with you into your professional life.
Courageously and confidently, you will drive the transformation of your organization and thus our society. As an ambassador of a new movement and with the association Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums, you are committed to a peaceful collaborative world in which younger and older people from different backgrounds treat each other with respect and warmth.
At the conference, we will open various windows into the future. You bring about the change towards an economically, ecologically and socially more sustainable world. You do this with a lot of confidence, unconventional initiatives and new partnerships. Take your time and space for this transformational kick-off in October.
In order to guarantee the transfer to your world and to the next conference in two years after this solution-oriented meeting, it is best to come in pairs, in a tandem of different generations. We look forward to seeing you!
COMMUNITY
Are Our congress from 25-27 October 2023 should have a lasting impact in the sense of the Bern Manifesto. In the two years until the next Hands On! Conference in 2025, our participants should become ambassadors for the congress theme Create the Magic – for a better tomorrow. We have created a digital conference room for this purpose.
If you would like to present an idea, a project, a successful text or an exhibition, you have the opportunity to present your short video here. Your video should contribute to the discourse or describe an outstanding and scalable example of practice that could inspire other artists and curators.
